Troy, IN [February 26, 2020] – Every day we work hard to make sure that our employees have a safe environment to work in, and we’re happy to say that we’ve recently been recognized for it.

On Wednesday February 26, 2020, our Troy facility received the Indiana Governor’s Workplace Safety Award in honor of their excellent OSHA safety record. Due in part to the implementation and certification of the American Chemistry Council Responsible Care program, as well as other safety programs and initiatives that have been undertaken, the Troy facility has had zero OSHA recordable, or lost time accidents over the last three years. The facility is featured on the IN.gov website for their accomplishment: 2020 Award Recipients

We want to give thanks to all of the members of the team in Troy who have led to this success, and thanks to Governor Eric Holcomb for the recognition.

Responsible Care® certification enables the company to achieve the highest standards of performance and generate greater value for its business.

Evansville, IN [January 13, 2020] – ORG Chem Group, an industry-leading custom chemicals processor and supplier of specialty chemical products and technical services, announced that its corporate headquarters and three plant facilities have achieved Responsible Care® certification from the American Chemistry Council.

Responsible Care® enables America’s leading chemical companies to achieve even higher standards of performance and generate greater value for their businesses. The Responsible Care Management System offers an integrated, structured approach to improve company performance in the following key areas: community awareness and emergency response; security; distribution; employee health and safety; pollution prevention; and process and product safety.

To achieve this prestigious industry certification, chemical companies must undergo a mandatory certification process by an independent, accredited auditor to ensure they have a structure and system in place to verify performance.

“We’re thrilled to achieve the Responsible Care certification across our facilities, said Tom Waldman, President, ORG Chem Group. “This notable achievement not only shows our continuing commitment to sustainability, but also our renewed focus on meeting the diverse needs of our customers.”
