Thermaflo® Flushing Fluid (TFF) is a specialized aromatic solvent engineered for the cleaning and restoration of fouled heat transfer systems. This low-cost, high-solvency fluid delivers exceptional tar-dissolving and carbon-removal performance comparable to flammable solvents like toluene—but without the associated safety hazards, toxicity concerns, or regulatory complications. The aromatic hydrocarbon composition provides superior “wetting” characteristics that penetrate beneath baked-on carbon deposits and hardened sludge, breaking the bond between contaminants and metal surfaces for thorough removal. Unlike aggressive chemical cleaners that can damage system components or require extensive drying procedures, TFF is fully compatible with organic heat transfer fluids and standard system materials, allowing immediate refill after draining. Any residual flushing fluid remaining in the system is miscible with replacement heat transfer fluids and will safely vent through the expansion tank during normal heat-up to operating temperature.
